Tartaric Acid is used to enhance the bouquet and flavours in wines. Also increases acid levels.
It is an essential element of country wine and sparkling wine making, found naturally in many plants e.g. grapes & bananas. Tartaric acid provides some of the tartness in the wine, along with citric and malic acids.
